Day Five
Congratultions to Katie Bailey who won the SEIB Elementary Open riding Carl Hester & Roly Luard Supernova II. He is a 7yo British bred gelding by De Niro. Katie is based and work for Carl. Has previously represented GB at 13 Internationals at Junior Level including 2 Junior Europeans.
Well done to Sally Hardwick who won the Blue Chip Novice Open with her own and Simon Hardwick's aptly named Well Done. "Lovely" is a 6 yo German WB by Wolkentanz who as purchased as a 4yo from Germany and has had a fantastic competition year. Sally runs Hallingbury Hall Equestrian Centre with daughter Alex (who came 2nd in that class) and they both had a brilliant year competing their horses.
Day Four
Congratulations to Stacey Munson who won the Albion Medium Open Class with her own Showbiz. He is an 8 yo Westphalian gelding by Showstar who has been very successful in young horse classes and qualified for the 2010 Regionals Medium & Advanced Medium with scores over 70%. Will compete in the Young PSG classes later this season. Stacey has her own livery & training yard and won the Advanced Medium Regional Championship in 2008.
Congratulations to Sara-Jane Lanning who won the Bucas Medium Music Freestyle riding her ow Try Me Once. She won the Advanced Medium Music Freestyle with the same horse yesterday.
Congratulations to James Burtwell who won the Equissage Elementary Open Music Freestyle with Julie Bradley's Smash Hit. Smash Hit is an Oldenburg stallion by Sandro Hit and the pair have qualified for four classes at the Regionals.
Congratulations to Melanie Breen who won the Equissage Elementary Restricted Music Freestyle with Helen Dart's Donnerromeo. Romeo is a Dutch Stallion by Donnerhall and this year will be his first at stud. Melanie is a talented instructor and the pair have build a strong partnership which has led to numerous wins.
Day Three
Congratulations to Emily Harris who won the Magic Prix St. Georges Music Freestyle class riding Judy Sharrock's Washington 103. Emily is a former Pony Team medallist and is on the Young Rider Squad with Washington, a 15 yo Hannoverian Gelding by Walt Disney I.
Congratulations to Sara-Jane Lanning who won the Nupafeed Advanced Medium Music Freestyle Class riding her own and Stephen Newton 'sTry Me Once. Bought by Stephen in October 2009, Try Me Once is a 10yo Dutch gelding by Montecristo and he qualified for 4 Classes at these Regionals. Sara-Jane is a trainer and list 3 judge who has won 4 Regional finals and qualified numerous horses for the Nationals.
Congratulations to Charlotte Dujardin who won the British Horse Feeds Advanced Medium Open Class riding Donald McTaggart's Duchess IV. Duchess is a 7yo Holsteiner mare by Donaly. Charlotte trains and rides for Carl Hester and the pair qualified for the Winter Championships with scores in excess of 70%. Last year they were first in the Elementary Winter Championship, then at the Nationals 4th in the Advanced Medium and 6th in the Medium.
Congratulations to Mandy Day who won the British Horse Feeds Advanced Medium Restricted Class riding her own Rocky II. Rocky is a 10yo Dutch gelding by Metall and the pair are being consistently placed at Advanced Medium and just won their first Advanced. They are aiming to compete PSG in the autumn and are trained by Lisa Hopkins and Edward Brook.
Congratulations to Epernay Kaylor who won the Albion Medium Restricted class riding her own Quasi Dizy-Ay. Epernay has had Quasi who is now 8yo, from a 4yo. Quasi is a German Warmblood by Quasi Roi. The pair have competed at Preliminary & Elementary Championships and are trained by Anna Ross-Davies.
Day Two
Congratulations to Samantha Smyth riding her own Don Pedro III who won the SEIB Elementary Restricted Class. The combination were 1st at Addington Regionals last year in the Prelim and Novice and went on to become the National Preliminary Champions at the Winter Nationals in 2009 and they were 6th in the Novice Don Pedro is an 8 year old German Warmblood who has Donnerhall as grandsire on both sides.
Congratulations to Oliver Walter riding his own Cobham Zimba who won the Horsesense-Elevator Preliminary class. Oliver has produced Zimba, a 6yo Dutch stallion, from the start. They were selected earlier this year for the under 25 National Training and have qualified for 3 classes at the Winter Regionals
Day One at Patchetts Winter Regional Championship -
Some 60 competitors competed throughout the day which ran smoothly and on time. The Youngest Competitor was Alexandra Rowe who is only 9 yo and was delighted to come 5th with Melisse Witkin's Kelmscott Sandpiper in their first Regional together.
The oldest competitor was Pat Perkins at 75 yo! Pat was riding her own Jigsaw Jasper and they both love their dressage to music.
Congratulations to Sarah Ferneyhough who won the Blue Chip Novice Restricted riding Mrs Hayley Moles Neopolitan Samba. Sarah is an experienced teacher and trainer from Chelsford. Neopolitan Samba is a home bred grey gelding aged 11 by Neopolitan and AES stallion. He also competes BSJA and X-Country, but he fractured his pedal bone 2 years ago which hampered his training, but obviously back in very good form!
Congratulations to Bev Dixon who won the Baileys Horse Feeds Novice Freestyle to Music Restricted riding her own Kape Kennedy. Bev started competing in freestyle last year after enjoying a Pas de Deux with a Friend. Kape Kennedy is a 7 yo German Trakhener by Key West who was brouth as a 4 year old at Brightwells. As a 5 yo he competed in the Brightwells Challenge where he came 5th.
Congratulations to Bobby Hayler who won the Baileys Horse Feeds Novice Freestyle to Music Open with her father's Diamond Jubilee, with the day highest score of 77.68%. Bobby is a Talent Spotting winner, Pony team member in 2008 and a Junior International. Diamond Jubilee is a bay gelding by Diamond Hit.
